Our home kitchen
Sweet Exchange Cakery operates from a registered home kitchen in Redland Bay, Queensland. All products are baked to order in a domestic environment where ingredients containing gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts and other common allergens are stored and used.
Gluten-free handling
As a mum to a child with coeliac disease, I understand firsthand how important safe food preparation is. That's why our gluten-free products are prepared using dedicated gluten-free equipment, and all work surfaces and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before preparation begins.
Cross-contact disclaimer
Despite these strict procedures, all products are prepared in our registered home kitchen where gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts and other common allergens are also present. While every reasonable precaution is taken to minimise the risk of cross-contact, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from trace allergens or cross-contamination.
Third-party ingredients
Some decorations and branded ingredients—including chocolates, biscuits, confectionery, sauces, sprinkles and other purchased products—are sourced from trusted Australian suppliers. These ingredients may contain allergens or may be manufactured in facilities that also process gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts and other allergens. While we carefully review supplier ingredient information, we cannot guarantee the manufacturing practices of third-party manufacturers.
Dietary requirements we do not cater to
At this time, we are unable to cater for vegan, dairy-free or egg-free dietary requirements. All of our baked goods contain eggs and dairy. If you are looking for these options, we are happy to suggest another local baker who may be able to help.
Coeliac disease, allergies and ingredient concerns
If you have coeliac disease, a food allergy or any concerns about ingredients or allergens, please contact us before placing your order so we can discuss your individual requirements and help you make an informed decision.
Required customer acknowledgement
Before submitting an order request, every customer must tick a checkbox confirming that they have read and understood this Dietary Information and acknowledge that all products are prepared in a home kitchen where common allergens are present. This acknowledgement, along with the policy version, is recorded with each order.
