Autism Awareness & Acceptance Cupcakes

Cupcakes for autism awareness and acceptance events at schools, workplaces and community groups. I approach these as inclusion events rather than anything else: no cure or awareness-campaign framing, no puzzle-piece motifs, and no speaking on behalf of autistic people. Styling tends towards calm gradients — infinity-inspired rainbow tones, golds or soft neutrals — whichever your group prefers. Baked to order in Redland Bay; I'm not affiliated with any autism organisation.

Styling led by your group

Different groups use different visual language for these events, and it isn't my place to choose for them. Tell me what your community uses — a rainbow infinity palette, gold tones, or simply your organisation's colours — and I'll design around that rather than defaulting to older campaign imagery.

Sensory-considerate options

If the event is for a sensory-aware setting, I can keep things simple: mild flavours, no strong scents added, smooth finishes without glitter or crunchy sprinkles, and consistent appearance across the box so nothing feels like a surprise. Just say so when you enquire.

Available flavours

Choose from my full cupcake menu: White Chocolate, Chocolate, White Choc/Raspberry (also available Gluten Free), Caramel, Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream and Funfetti. Additional flavours are available on request, and splitting an order across two or three flavours usually suits a shared table best.

Sizes and box options

Standard cupcakes come in boxes of 6, 12 or 24, or as larger sets for bigger events. Mini cupcakes stretch a headcount further, and cake pops or cakesicles can be added if you want something people can pick up one-handed at a stall or reception desk.

Gluten Free availability

Gluten Free is available across White Chocolate, Chocolate and White Choc/Raspberry. My home-based studio also handles gluten — please review my Dietary Information before ordering if anyone attending has a serious gluten intolerance.

How ordering works

Send through your date, headcount, event colours and any inspiration. I'll reply with a design proposal and quote, and orders are secured with a deposit once the design is approved. Every request includes a mandatory Dietary Acknowledgement.

Frequently asked

How much notice do you need?+

Please allow a minimum of 7 days for smaller orders. Larger or fully themed orders benefit from 2–4 weeks' notice, and awareness dates that fall in busy months book out earlier.

What flavours are available?+

White Chocolate, Chocolate, White Choc/Raspberry (also available Gluten Free), Caramel, Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream and Funfetti. Additional flavours are available on request.

Can you match our event colours?+

Yes — every order is styled to your palette or inspiration references. Send through your colours or any images you like and I'll design accordingly.

Are you affiliated with the organisation behind the day?+

No. Sweet Exchange Cakery is an independent home-based cupcake studio. I bake cupcakes for events people hold; I'm not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with any campaign, charity or organisation, and no part of an order is a donation.

Do you offer dietary options?+

Gluten Free options are available across selected flavours. My home-based studio also handles gluten and other common allergens — please review my Dietary Information before ordering.

How do I place an order?+

Submit a request with your date, quantities and any inspiration. I'll come back with a tailored design proposal, quote and next steps.

Storage Instructions+

I recommend enjoying your cupcakes on the day you collect or receive them for the freshest flavour and texture. If you need to store them, keep them in their original box or an airtight container at cool room temperature for up to 2 days, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. Please avoid refrigerating cupcakes unless necessary, as refrigeration can dry out the cake and affect the texture. If the weather is particularly warm, or the product contains a perishable filling or decoration, refrigeration may be required. Store the product in an airtight container and allow it to return to room temperature before serving.

Disclaimer+

Every Sweet Exchange Cakery order is baked-to-order and individually handcrafted to order with care and attention to detail. As each product is handmade, slight variations in colour, piping, decorations and overall design are to be expected. While I will always strive to recreate your chosen design as closely as possible, an exact replica cannot be guaranteed. Decorations may also vary slightly depending on seasonal availability and supplier stock. However, the overall style, colour palette and quality of your order will always be maintained. These small variations are part of the handcrafted nature of my products and make every order beautifully unique. Thank you for supporting my small business. I am honoured to be part of your special celebration.
